Hospital Alert — software in-facility nurse-call & staff communication. NeuroEmpire. Last updated: 2026-06-09.

Important — what this app is and is not. Hospital Alert is an in-facility communication tool that lets a patient inside a hospital notify that hospital's own nursing and clinical staff that they need help, and lets staff coordinate that response within the same building. It is NOT an emergency service and is NOT a substitute for one. It does not contact, dispatch, or integrate with public emergency services (such as 911, 112, 999, ambulance, police or fire). In a life-threatening emergency, or anywhere outside a participating hospital, call your local emergency number.

1. License

NeuroEmpire ("we") grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Hospital Alert application ("App") for its intended purpose: communication between patients and clinical staff inside a participating hospital. This license is also subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula.

2. Intended use & scope of services

The App provides: a patient call button (routine and urgent in-facility calls to staff), optional text/voice messages and pictograms describing a need, and a staff station that receives these calls. An "urgent" or "critical" call is an internal request for the attention of the hospital's own staff; it is not a call to external emergency services.

3. Location

The App does not use your device's location (GPS) and does not request location permission. A patient's location is identified only by the room code or QR code provided at the bedside; each call shown to staff includes the room/department so the right staff can respond. Map lookup is used solely by a hospital administrator, once, to find the hospital's postal address during setup.

4. No personal data

The App is designed to avoid collecting personal data. Patients use a room code (no account, no name). Staff sign in with a login and a pseudonym chosen by the hospital administrator — no real names, no email, no phone numbers. See our privacy information.

5. Disclaimer of warranties & limitation of liability

The App is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. Delivery of notifications depends on devices, networks and third-party services and is not guaranteed. The App is a communication aid and is not a medical device and does not provide diagnosis, monitoring, triage or clinical decision-making. To the maximum extent permitted by law, NeuroEmpire is not liable for any damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the App. The participating hospital remains solely responsible for staffing and for responding to calls.

6. Acceptable use

Use the App only within a participating hospital and for its intended purpose. Do not misuse calls or interfere with the service.

7. Changes & termination

We may update the App and this EULA. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. We may suspend or terminate access for misuse.
